Because conventional toners for color electrophotography are produced by pulverizing coloring materials into tiny particles, not even the most accurate tools can achieve a uniform shape and size for individual particles. On the other hand, in producing S Toner Canon adds wax and a monomer to the coloring material, then causes a polymerization reaction by applying heat, and solidifies the resulting material is solidified. With S Toner, the wax in the core of each particle is released during fixing and spreads between the roller and paper.
