Canon Advanced Raster Printing System (CARPS)
Laser Shot MF3110 uses a unique Page Description Language called Canon Advanced
Raster Printing System (CARPS). CARPS utilizes your computer's memory to compress
print data before it is sent to the printer, greatly increasing transfer speed. The
result is faster more efficient printing without the need to invest in additional
memory beyond the standard 64MB.
On-Demand Fixing: Eliminates Warm-Up Time, Lowers Cost
While some laser printers make you wait up to 30 seconds before they are ready
to print. Laser Shot MF3110 requires no warm-up time at all! On-Demand Fixing technology
utilizes a process whereby heat is transferred instantly to the fixing unit, so you
print the moment you push the button. This also lowers energy costs, as the large
quantity of power used for warm-up is no longer than necessary.

Laser Shot MF3110 features Canon's Single Cartridge System, which houses the toner,

formats by converting multiple document and image files into a single PDF file while
maintaining the document's original layout. In addition, it's remarkably easy to
use.
ScanSoft® OmniPage SE is a practical software that instantly scans and converts
paper documents and images to Microsoft Word, PowerPoint or Excel documents. You
can even process images from network MFPs and scanners! And it's all done with pinpoint
accuracy - while retaining graphics, tables and formatting elements during OCR. These
are displayed in the Text Editor and made available for easy export with the Save
As File, Send As Mail and Copy To Clipboard options.
