The expressed number of years is the results of simulated test conducted by Canon INC. and is not guaranteed. This number of years does not apply for paper fading or durability. After printing, allow the ink to dry completely. Store your images in albums, clear plastic folders, or glass frames in order to avoid exposing them to the open air The S800 uses new inks that produce sharper contrast, more vivid colours and more clearly defined blacks. The inks are also more resistant to fading - with images lasting at least 25 years* on Photo Paper Pro print media. In addition, by optimizing the volume of the photo ink, colour gradation is greatly improved - the S800 can generate up to 49 levels of colour gradations for each pixel. * See for evaluation methods and precautions for storing / displaying printed materials. Unnaturally Fast Photo Printing The speed of ink emission has been greatly increased, thanks to faster head-drive frequency. Together with bi-directional printing using the multi-nozzle head, the S800 improves its print speed by 50%, making it the best in its class for high-speed, photo-grade printing. You can print a standard full-size image on A4 paper in approximately 2 minutes (with Photo Paper Pro). Separate Ink System The Canon Think Tanks System allows you to replace individual inks rather than buying a complete cartridge each time a colour runs out. Moreover, detectors in the cartridge warn you when ink levels are low so you need never run out of ink during a printing job. Easily Converts to a Fast, High-resolution Scanner Simply replace the ink cartridge with the optional IS-52 scanner cartridge and the S800 instantly becomes a high-performance, 600 dpi scanner - which now boasts a 50% increase in speed! * *except for monochrome binary Convenient Connection (USB) The S800 comes with parallel interface for Windows, as well as convenient USB interface for both Windows and Macintosh *.
