More Natural Images The S4500 use new inks that produce sharper contrast, more vivid colours, more clearly defined blacks. The inks are also more resistance to fading. The use of pigment black ink reduces smudging on standard paper, produces dense clear text with razor-sharp outlines and increases water resistance. Photo-grade printing with 6 bi-level ink colours * Six bi-level ink colours greatly improve "in-between" shades for natural image production - virtually identical to conventional photographs. Pale and intermediate colours, such as those found in skin tones, are much more natural. * using a combination of regular color BC-31e and photo BC-32e cartridges. More Natural Images, More Quickly The S4500 uses Drop Modulation Technology (DMT) to achieve a print resolution of up to 1440 x 720dpi*. The result is sharp, vivid rendering of small text and fine lines and smoother, more natural gradations. * Using a combination of black BC-30e and regular colour BC-31e cartridges. Speed and Precision The fleet S4500 prints colour at 6ppm* and monochrome at 9ppm*. Separate Ink System The Canon Think Tanks System allows you to replace individual inks rather than buying a complete cartridge each time a colour runs out. Moreover, detectors in the cartridge warn you when ink levels are low so you need never run out of ink during a printing job. Affordable A3 Printing When you need the big picture, the S4500 produces beautiful, high-resolution images in the A3 format. A3 gives you a wide range of creative options, and make colourful business presentations even more impressive. Dual Interface (USB) The S4500 comes with parallel interface for Windows, as well as convenient USB interface* for both Windows and Macintosh. USB means plug-n-play convenience and more rapid data transmission between computer and printer. * USB operation can only be guaranteed on a PC with pre-installed Windows Me, Windows 98, Windows 2000. (this includes Windows Me and Windows 2000 upgraded from pre-installed Windows 98). This product supports the majority of USB equipped PCs; however, due to differences in USB implementation (on some PCs) full compatibility can not be guaranteed. High-Resolution Scanning - A3 Size Replace the ink cartridge with the optional IS-32 scanner cartridge and the S4500 instantly becomes a high-performance, 720dpi scanner. A Printer Driver Packed With Business-Oriented Features : Photo Optimizer Pro *1 Photo Optimizer Pro improves the precision of existing photo optimizer functions, adds auto tone control, and makes it easy to optimize data correction while remaining as faithful as possible to the original image. Document Stamp *2 Provides a range of standard stamps such as "CONFIDENTIAL" and "IMPORTANT" Page Layout *3 Prints up to four pages of data on a single sheet for layout checking. Reverse-Order Printing *1 Prints in reverse order starting from the last page of the document specified; also compiles multi-page documents in the correct order ( no need to sort pages after printing ).
