More Natural Images The S450 uses new inks that poduce sharper contrast, more vivid colour, and more clearly defined blacks. The inks are also more resistant to fading. The use of pigment black ink reduces smudging on standard paper, produces dense clear text with razor-sharp outlines and increases water resistance. Photo-grade printing with 6 bi-level ink colours * Six bi-level ink colours greatly improve "half-tone" colours for natural image production - virtually identical to conventional photographs. Separate Ink Tank System The Canon Think Tanks System allows you to replace individual inks rather than buying a complete cartridge each time a colour runs out. Moreover, the accurate ink-level detectors in the cartridge warm you when ink levels are low so you need never run out of ink during a printing job. Dual Interface (USB) The S450 comes with parallel interface for Windows®2000, or USB interface for both Windows and Macintosh *.*USB operation can only be guaranteed on a PC with pre-installled Windows®98, Windows®2000. This product supports the majority of USB equipped PCs; however, due to differences in USB implmentation (on some PC's) full compatibility can not be guaranteed. Easily Converts to a High-resolution Scanner Replace the ink cartridge with the optional IS-32 scanner cartridge and the S450 instantly becomes a high-performance, 720 dpi scanner. Whisper-Quiet Printing The S450 was specially designed for whisper-quiet operation. At about 45 decibels, it won't create a disturbance, even during high-speed printing. Printer Driver Engineered for Photo Printing Driver software includes Photo Optimizer, which corrects the tonal range of images captured with a digital camera. It also features a Stimulate Illustration function that easily transforms photos to illustrations. Monochrome Effects converts colour photos to sepia hues or other colour tones and can be used with the Illustration function to create very special effects. << BACK |
