Efficient, High-speed Printing
When it comes to printing, the MP700 and MP730
outpace even single-function machines - you'll get perfect borderless 4 x 6"
photo prints in as little as 47 seconds. Both machines perform at an astonishingly
fast speed of 22 pages per minute for monochrome and 14 pages per minute
for colour. The ultra-wide multi-nozzle print head has 1066 nozzles
and is capable of ejecting approximately 19 million ink droplets per second
for incredibly sharp prints. At the same time a 4-motor system improves performance
by allowing high-speed paper feeding and relay feeding for fast and continuous
printing.

Canon's Microfine Droplet Technology
allows the MP700 and MP730's print heads to eject both ultra-fine 2-picolitre
and 5-picolitre ink droplets. This achieves colour gradations equivalent to 6-ink
colours and produces high-quality, grainless prints, while the rich dynamic range
ensures sharp image quality with high colour saturation. The 1200 dpi high-density
head for precision dot placement gives crystal clear 4800 x 1200 dpi resolution.
Borderless prints and copies are available from 4 x 6" right up to A4 size.

Direct digital ... Print direct from digital format, with MP700 and MP730's Card
Direct function. The multi-card slots on each machine accept various memory
cards and no PCMCIA adapter is needed. Compatible memory cards are the Compact
Flash (type I and II), Memory Stick, multimedia card, smart media and SD memory cards.
Copy without a PC - Super Sharp,
Super Quick
With the MP700 and MP730, you don't even need to be connected to a PC to copy documents
at blazing speeds of 22 pages per minute for monochrome, and 14
pages per minute for colour. Choose between advanced copy features such
as image repeat, mirror image, 2-on-1 and entire image copying. These machines
also offer you excellent photo-quality borderless copy resolution of 1200
x 1200 dpi.
High Quality Scanning
The MP700 and MP730 come equipped with a vast range of scanning capabilities. A multi-scan
/ multi-crop mode allows you to scan or crop several photos at a time,
with separate files created for each image. Slightly skewed photos will be automatically
aligned. You can also scan two or more pages at once and save them
into a single PDF file. In addition, optical resolution is a sharp 1200
x 2400 dpi, which can be enhanced up to a stunning 9600 dpi. If that isn't
enough to make you sing, you can also set up the machines to play music
while you're scanning, or choose a sound to play when scanning is completed.
Productive Colour Fax Capability
with Built-in ADF
The MP730 has a fax function that makes use of a speedy 33.6Kbps
modem, allowing you to fast-fax at just 3 seconds per page. You can
also store up to 100 frequently dialled numbers in its memory, thanks to the
speed dial feature, or enjoy the convenience of one-touch, coded and group dialling.
Plus it's equipped to fax up to 30 sheets at a time with the automatic
document feeder. This ensures smooth and speedy paper feeding, whether
you're sending a multi-page fax or scanning a selection of documents, and helps to
finish the job more quickly.
Versatile Software for Accurate
Photo Printing
Input camera setting and image scene data
directly from your digital camera with the bundled Easy-PhotoPrint software,
that supports Exif Print and YCC colour space. Images are printed out
accurately and colours in the original images are faithfully reproduced even when
they exceed the sRGB range. A Photo-Noise Reduction function also eliminates
noise in digital images, particularly from areas of light solid colour such as blue
skies, and from dark areas such as shadows, to create natural-looking images.
On top of that, the MP700 and MP730 are also bundled with indispensable software
such as Easy-WebPrint.
Conveniently Cost Effective
With Canon's individual ink tanks system and ink level detection system, there
is no wastage and operating costs are kept low.
