Direct Print > Card Direct - With
a full range of functions and now easier to use
Features Card Direct, allowing
photos to be printed by inserting a memory card into the multi-slot. This is compatible
with a wide range of memory-card types, allowing images taken using nearly all makes
of digital cameras and digital camcorders to be printed with no need for a PC. A
memory card access function is also provided, allowing data to be read or written
to memory cards from a PC.

Operation panel featuring a
2.5 inch viewer
A large built-in color viewer is incorporated as standard for viewing images
contained on memory cards and for easy setting of the Card Direct settings. Together
with the easy-to-use operation panel, this makes print setup simple.
New Card Direct functions
Image Search Function
Includes a function for searching images using the date information contained in
the photo data. This makes it easy to find a particular image even when the memory
card contains a large number of images.
Color Balance
Includes a function for easy adjustment of the color balance of a photo. Nine
different versions of an image are generated automatically with varying tone and
brightness/contrast settings for printing out on a single sheet. Users can then select
their favorite photo for full-size printing.
Direct Print > Camera Direct
The Camera Direct feature - incorporated into
the PIXMA iP6000D - supports PictBridge and Bubble Jet Direct.
Mobile Phone Printing*
Photos can be printed from camera equipped mobile
phones through infrared transmission (IrDA), with no need for cables.

Ultra-Photo Image Quality
The PIXMA iP6000D features the FINE high-performance
print head, which achieves high resolution of 4800 x 1200 dpi by accurately controlling
2 pl ink droplets in addition to 5 pl ink droplets. This produces high-definition
photo prints with no graininess. It is also capable of vivid printing due to its
6-color ink. The PIXMA iP6000D is the ideal high-end direct printer model for users

Advanced Media Handling
2-Way Paper Feeding
The Paper Feed Cassette is built into the printer unit. Combined with the conventional
Auto Sheet Feeder, this offers 2-Way Paper Feeding convenience as a standard feature.
The Paper Feed Switch shifts the paper-feed location from the Auto Sheet Feeder to
the Cassette and back. Detailed settings for the paper feed method can be set using
the printer driver.

Auto Duplex Printing
The built-in Auto Duplex Printing Unit handles both plain paper and photo paper.

The built-in tray-guide lets users directly print on DVD and CD. Known for precise,
high-speed, high-image-quality printing, Canon's DVD/CD Direct Printing has been
made easier to use.
