Incorporates IEEE802.11g for faster
wireless communications than 802.11b.
Supports Ethernet. Also supports WPA for robust system security.
The PIXMA iP4000R boasts faster communication rates than possible with conventional
802.11b or a standard ADSL connection for faster output of large image data files.
It also provides support for Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA), the latest in security
technology for secure wireless printing. The easy setup feature requires as few as
three clicks. Functions like "Print on demand" and "View print status
from multiple computers" are easy to use for anyone in your family. All these
functions work perfectly in mixed environments containing both Windows PCs and Macintosh
computers.
Print on demand
Print jobs received while the printer is busy printing other jobs are automatically
queued in the order received. No need to worry whether the printer is already printing
when you send a print
request.
View print status from multiple computers
Anyone can check status information, whether or not the printer is in use. The
system identifies the user currently using the printer and provides a different status
display from that seen by other users.

Ultra-Simple Wireless LAN Set Up
To use the PIXMA iP4000R in wireless LAN environments, connect the PIXMA iP4000R
to a PC with a USB cable. Setup is much faster and easier than wireless setup for
other manufacturers' wireless LAN-compatible printers. Several processes are integrated,
from printer driver installation to wireless LAN setup, to allow even inexperienced
users to perform the setup.
Vibrant Image Quality and Astonishing
Speed
The PIXMA iP4000R features the FINE high-performance print head. In addition to 2
pl ink droplets and 4800 dpi high-quality images, it offers beautiful printing of
pictures with enhanced contrast, thanks to photo black ink. Further, the PIXMA iP4000R
can print a beautiful 4" x 6" borderless photo in a mere 36 seconds.* The
PIXMA iP4000R is also capable of printing monochrome text documents at up to 25 ppm**
and color documents at up to 17 ppm.**
* Draft mode with Photo Paper Plus Glossy. When
connected with a USB cable.
** When connected with a USB cable. Print speeds within a wireless LAN configuration
depends on network conditions.
