PIXMA iP1000 featuring the FINE
high-performance print head
The "engine" of an inkjet printer, the print head, determines image
quality and print speed. The PIXMA iP1000 incorporates Canon's "FINE" (Fullphotolithography
Inkjet Nozzle Engineering) print head. The sub-micron precision nozzles eject consistent,
fixed-volume microscopic ink droplets with remarkable accuracy for smoother, grain-free
images with increased tonality and higher resolution. The print head also offers
more nozzles, higher nozzle density, and higher drive frequency for both fast printing
and high image quality.
Super-high 4800 dpi* resolution for superb photo print quality
With a high-density real 600 dpi FINE print head that ejects 5 pl ink droplets,
the PIXMA iP1000 offers remarkable high-resolution printing of 4800* x 1200 dpi,
the best in its class. Priced as an entry-level model, the PIXMA iP1000 offers smooth
tonality and grain-free image quality well beyond its class.

borderless photo in approx. 55 seconds*
The PIXMA iP1000 is capable of 4" x 6"
and 5" x 7" borderless printing. Thanks to the FINE multinozzle
head, it can print a 4" x 6" borderless photo print in approximately 55
seconds* to deliver beautiful borderless photos without annoying waits.It is also
capable of high-speed printing ofmonochrome text documents at up to 14 ppm and color
documents at up to 11 ppm. From e-mail to Web pages, the PIXMA iP1000 provides fast
document print speeds previously available only from more expensive printers.

Compact and stylish
The PIXMA iP1000 features a compact body measuring 385 (W) x 195 (D) x 165 (H) mm.
It takes up minimal space on a living room table or desk. The body forms a cube when
the paper tray is closed. The stylish gray-based body color is a perfect fit for
any study or living room.
Easy-PhotoPrint 3.0
Easy-Photo Print, a super-easy photo printing application, and Easy- PhotoPrint
Plus, image retouching software, have now been combined into a single application.
The new integrated program offers several new functions, including a function that
sharpens out-of-focus portraits and corrects for backlit portraits, and a function
that removes blemishes from skin. Functions are as follows:
Blemish Remover
Blemishes can be removed naturally, just like using concealer.
Face Sharpener
The subject's face is automatically identified and sharpened. The entire face is
made clearer to create a portrait with a strong sense of presence.
Face Brightener
The subject's face is automatically identified and adjusted to the optimum tone,
depending on the level of brightness. The feature brightens faces in shadows to clarify
expressions and to make the tones of the subject's face more vivid for a more vibrant
portrait.
