2pl Ink Droplets Exclusively
The i9950 employs Canon's "New
MicroFine Droplet Technology" to produce nothing but 2pl ink droplets in all
print modes! These microscopic droplets are then placed with a scientific accuracy
that can only be measured in microns.

DVD-R/CD-R Printing
The i9950 is the first Canon printer
for A3 size or larger that includes a DVD-R/CD-R label-printing function. It features
a new front-loading system in which the disk is placed on the tray and inserted directly
into the printer for easy, high-speed, high-quality label printing.

Easy-PhotoPrint 2.1
Easy-Photo 2.1 is a high-speed
application that allows batch printing, index printing and the printing of captured
info with images. It can print RAW data when used with Digital Photo Professional,
for optimum workflow from colour management to printing.
Output "Pre-printing Proofs"
Digital Photo Professional &
Easy-PhotoPrint 2.1 yield colours so faithful to the original image data that "pre-printing
proofs" can be output on a Bubble Jet printer. The proof can be passed to a
commercial printer, along with image data, to minimize colour discrepancies.

Digital Photo Professional processes
RAW, TIFF and JPEG images using Adobe RBG and Wide Gamut RGB colour spaces, which
are wider than sRBG spaces. Perceptual or Colourimetric matching methods can be selected
in Easy-PhotoPrint 2.1 for more faithful colour reproduction on a Bubble Jet printer.
No Image Conversion Required
Using Digital Photo Professional with Easy -PhotoPrint 2.1 eliminates the need to convert RAW
data to TIFF or JPEG formats when printing on a Bubble Jet printer.
Image Browsing (Main Window)
Even in large volumes, RAW data
can be viewed rapidly. Download times are minimal and images are displayed quickly
when scrolling.
Index Printing
File names can be printed beneath
thumbnail images and stored with the CD-R containing the images.
DVD-R/CD-R Label Printing
Images contained on a DVD-R/CD-R
- as well as text for titles and dates - can be printed directly onto the label,
making it clear what images are stored inside.
Captured Info Printing
In addition to image size and
colour-space data, it is also possible to print information such as exposure time,
F-stop and ISO speed.
PictBridge Camera Direct Printing
The i9950 incorporates the
PictBridge industry standard, which allows any digital camera and video camcorder*
to be directly connected to Canon printers.
