2 pl ink droplets
Incorporates a 2 pl and 5 pl Multi-Droplet Ink Ejection System made possible through New "Micro Fine Droplet Technology". With this head, 2 pl and 5 pl nozzles are arranged alternately, enabling printing using only 2 pl droplets on the threshold of visibility to the naked eye.

4,800 dpi*
Outstanding dot control and advanced control technology enables 4,800* x 1,200 dpi high-resolution printing. This provides high-definition photo quality free of blurring.
* Ink droplets can be placed with a pitch of 1/4800 inch at minimum.

Monochrome: 18 ppm / Color: 12 ppm
Engineered to outperform other printers in its class in high-speed printing, with features such as a high-density multi-nozzle head, bi-directional printing capability, rapid paper-feed mechanisms, and more. Supports stress-free printing of a wide range of document types, including webpages.

Camera Direct
Supports the new "PictBridge" industry standard for digital cameras and printers, as well as Canon's "Bubble Jet Direct". Photos taken using digital cameras supporting either system can be printed from the i455 with no need for a PC.

High-Quality Photo Printing
The i455 supports Exif Print for the accurate incorporation of camera information into prints, and also supports the YCC color space of digital cameras. It also features a wide range of functions, including Photo Noise Reduction for reducing noise in digital photos, and Vivid Photo for reproducing colors recalled favorably.
