P-POPTM Technology for the Ultimate in Plain
Paper Output
Using Canon's exclusive Ink OptimiserTM or P-POPTM system, the BJ-W7000 is the only
ink jet in its class to offer true photographic quality printing on plain paper with
output that is 100% water-resistant in both colour and black. Now you need not fear
water spillage over your important printouts.
Superb PhotoRealism Printing
In addition to conventional yellow, magenta, cyan, and black inks, this system uses
the Color BJ Cartridge, BC-62 Photo ink, to allow any hue to be printed with up to
nine levels of colour saturation. The result: higher contrast and richer reproduction
of midtones. Not only that, the CCIPS (Canon Colour Image Processing System) has
been incorporated into the BJ-W7000's print driver to allow subtle variations of
black tones, using both processed black and true black. Shadows appear more natural,
and textures such as skin and metallic surfaces now take on a remarkably realistic
look.
9 Levels of Gradation for Excellent Photo Quality Prints
The combination of photo inks and standard inks in the same print head improves photo
quality by offering up to nine levels of gradation to achieve greater colour range,
subtle hues and eliminate bandings, especially in light-coloured areas. It expands
the palette of colour tones available, which is the goal of photographic printing.
1,200 x 600 dpi Resolution Coupled with 1,088 Print Nozzles for Exceptionally
Sharp Prints
BJ-W7000 offers an innovative print head design which houses more than 1,000 nozzles
that are half the size of previous nozzles. Ultra-high resolution of 1,200 x 600
dpi and microscopic ink droplet size combine to produce exceptionally smooth, sharp
print quality.
Full Bleed Printing on A4 size
Since current ink jet printers are not able to print to the edge of an A4 size paper,
a white border surrounds every page. The BJ-W7000 eliminates this limitation by providing
full bleed A4 size printing. Coloured background can now be printed from edge to
edge using Canon's A4 full bleed media, allowing for more innovative designs.

Canon is the first in the ink jet market to offer a 7-colour ink system on plain
paper printing. This ink system generates more than four times the levels of tonal
gradation of most ink jet printers to create realistic flesh tones, brilliant whites,
vibrant yellows and chromes, and rich dense sharp blacks.
