Digital cameras read a color space known as YCC, capable of recording a wider range of colors than the sRGB color space of monitors. BJ printers are also capable of printing a wider range of colors than sRGB. Until now, images recorded in YCC had to be compressed to the sRGB space to suit the monitor, preventing true color reproducing with BJ printers. Canon's Easy-PhotoPrint incorporates its own advanced digital photo image-processing technology. This enables the color reproduction space of the digital image to be conveyed to BJ printer with virtually no losses. Easy-PhotoPrint utilizes the full color space of both the digital camera and BJ printer to achieve unparalleled color reproduction. The BJ printer can therefore only reproduce colors within the sRGB space. Reproduction data digital camera colors beyond the sRGB range are conveyed accurately to BJ printer, which can then reproduce colors beyond the range of sRGB. Red=255 Green=200 Blue=0 Red=305 Green=200 Blue=-21 The image is condensed down to the sRGB color space, limiting color reproduction to a range of 0 to 255.
