Exif Print (Exif 2.2)
 |
Supports the new Exif Print worldwide
standard for digital photo prints. Produces printed images that faithfully reproduce
a photographer's vision. |

The image and associated information
from digital cameras are recorded using the Exif format. Exif 2.1 has been upgraded
to 2.2 (Exif Print) - the new worldwide standard for digital photo prints.
Digital cameras that support the Exif Print record camera setting data and image
scene data as Exif tags linked to the JPEG image. BJ printers support Exif Print
and use Easy-PhotoPrint to read the camera data precisely, producing optimal prints.
This enables users to create prints that reproduce their vision more accurately than
ever before. Exif Print is an open standard, so high-quality photo prints can be
created on BJ printers from any digital camera that supports Exif Print, regardless
of the manufacturer. |

Exif Print's New Features
With Exif 2.1, the printer analyzed image data
only and estimated required corrections. In some cases, this resulted in faulty prints
unless sophisticated image analysis applications, such as Photo Optimizer PRO, were
used. For example, night scene photos would be treated as underexposed and printed
with extra brightness to compensate.
With Exif Print, however, image scene data, such as "night scene mode,"
is recorded. This produces the image just as the photographer saw it. |
