Canon has developed its revolutionary photo ink for
better colour tonage. The photo ink is developed to enhanced photo quality printout.
Ever tried printing human flesh tone only to find out that its too harsh? Or colours
are too strong which resulted in over contrast between shadows and lighted area?
Photo ink has taken the world of inkjet printing further with the ability to print
photo quality-like pictures. These inks contain light cyan, light magenta and light
black, when used together with the standard colours are able to produce more than
30 gradations of colours.
The diagram above shows that more colour gradations will result in smoother tonage.
The combination of light and standard colours will produce "in-between"
colours. Colours you never imagine possible with ink jet printers. The printer intelligence
level is able to determine the most accurate colour by using the combination of both
the standard and photo inks.
Diagram A shows standard colour printing whereas Diagram
B shows the flexibility of photo ink in play.
Now you can have more colour shades in your printing needs.
