Welcome and thank you for purchasing Canon's Creative
Craft Bubble Jet Media. Here, at Canon, we would like to share a few important pointers
with you to ensure you get the best quality result with your Canon products. Many
users perceived that good quality print-outs come solely from the printer. However,
there are 5 other main components, when put together, will give you the best quality
prints you ever dream of.
Printers
This is your hardware with all the technologies packed inside this marvelous little
machine. High-end Canon printers like the BJC-8200 comes in 1200 x 1200 dpi for serious
colour graphic/photo prints.
Canon has also developed Drop Modulation Technology (DMT) which is capable of ejecting
both small and large ink droplets, instead of just one uniform size. Smaller droplets
means smoother prints as it will fill up the gaps left behind by large ink droplets.
What's more, the small droplets are 3 times smaller than the conventional droplets,
all adding to the improved quality of colour graphics and photographic output.
The BJC-8200 employs the new MicroFine Droplet Technology produces microscophic droplets
in high resolution, multi gradation and image stability. With these great features,
you are able to produce images with "Zero-Graininess".
All these hardware are developed and ready to give you the challenges ahead. Although
it is ready to serve the many hungry users, it does not work alone. It needs the
following components to achieve your desired results.
Inks
Try using our Photo Ink and you'll be truly amazed at how vibrant the colour reproduction
is. What makes the colour so vibrant lies in the special colour tonage itself where
each colour ink can produce up to 33 levels of colour tone instead of 1 which is
often found in other standard colours. This feature coupled with our specially designed
drivers will better enhance the print quality. (see Drivers below). You can
also print bright contrasting cartoon characters, luminous signages, etc with our
revolutionary fluorescent ink.
Canon ink cartridges are constructed in a way which is convenient to use especially
with the new drop in loading system with the BJC-2100SP. We have also come up with
individual replaceable with Think-Tank Technology found in printers as low as the
BJC-3000. Water resistant inks are also made available on the BJC-7100 with our P-POP
Technology to avoid any water smudges on the prints.

Medias (paper)
The types of media used greatly depends on the purpose of printing. You can choose
from High Resolution or Matt Coated Paper for simple graphics. Canon's Glossy Photo
Paper will set the rest apart when it comes to photo quality printing and of course
you can choose to print T-Shirt by using our T-Shirt transfer paper. The types of
media selected will give you different result with true to life vivid colours which
is especially noticeable with Canon High Gloss Film.
Drivers
Many of us do not realise what a driver can do. Your print quality also depend heavily
on the type of drivers you're using. This is why all Canon printer drivers are specially
designed with customers' interest in mind. You can choose from the various function
available from our drivers. Image Optimiser has the smoothening effect to ensure
no jaggedness in your lettering and images. This technology optimises low resolution
screen images, e.g. those downloaded from the web, and print them out at the maximum
resolution supported by the printer.

Notice the smoothening effect on the curve of the letter "B"
Image colour matching will match the colours you see in your monitor screen. You
can also do a test print, head cleaning and demonstration at a click of your mouse.
The automatic cartridge detection will tell you when to replace a cartridge.
Software
The software that you're printing from does have an effect on the final print-out.
This is because not every software is suitable for graphics printing. A designing
software will give better resolution and colour reproduction than a word processor
software. Therefore, to maximise the printer capability, graphics printing should
be done using designing software. |
